Cortado

Another Spanish coffee drink this week? I must be loco. I tried a cortado in a local coffee shop last week and was inspired to make it myself! I found this drink to be warm and smooth, perfect for every day.

The cortado (translated to “cut”) is designed so that the creamy steamed milk cuts the bitterness of the espresso. Drink it plain or with a touch of flavor oil - you won’t be disappointed. If you decide to make this yourself let me know in the comments or on Instagram!

CORTADO

2 oz. brewed espresso (I use my Moka pot)
Steamed non-dairy milk

  1. Pour hot espresso into a mug.
  2. Top with steamed non-dairy milk (about 1-2 oz., depending on your preference.
  3. Finish with flavor oil or foam, if desired.
