Australian Flat White
I’m sure you have seen or enjoyed a flat white from Starbucks in the past couple years. I’ll admit that’s where I first learned what the drink was. Though I have to them for introducing me to it, I’m happy to say we can now add it to the list of drinks we make at home!
The flat white is a super smooth Australian espresso drink, topped with micro-foam. The difference between this drink and a latte is ratio of espresso to froth and milk. According to CaffeBritt, the milk used in flat whites is velvety and not diluted with foam, this results in a stronger drink that uses a smaller serving size to deliver the same amount of coffee.
I like my coffee strong and flavorful, so this one is my new favorite for a smooth, creamy espresso drink. Let me know if you agree, and if you decide to make a vegan flat white!
